Armoogum Parsuramen in his capacity as Founder-President of International Thirukkural Foundation was received along with Mr Ravi Kumar President of Kural Malai Sangam and in the presence of Union Minister Mr Murugan and Mr Annamalai President BJP Tamil Nadu by H.E. Mr Narendra Modi Prime Minister of India.

Parsuramen commended the PM for paying respect on many occasions to Thiruvalluvar and quoted verses of Thirukkural in many of his national and international addresses. He further expressed gratitude to the PM for quoting couplets from Thirukkural, as many as ten times in just 2020 alone. He also recalled PM Modi's statement below: 
“I bow to the venerable Thiruvalluvar on Thiruvalluvar Day. His thoughts and works reflect the immense knowledge as well as wisdom he was blessed with. People across generations have been positively impacted by his ideals. I urge more youngsters across India to read the Kural.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his appreciation for the initiative of getting Thirukkural recognized as a book of universal literature by UNESCO. Mr Parsuramen handed over to the PM a full dossier on the initiative for his kind consideration.
